Human life is quite surprising, nobody knows what will happen in the time to come. Many a time it happens that in the bleakest of the moments, we get some news good enough to dispel all our despair and there are also times when in the happiest of moments, some unexpected event happens which changes the entire course of our life. Walking in the woods, going on a beach trip or surfing in the wild ocean, all have their fun and risks. One case is reported by Northeastern University when one of its students helped save a man attacked by a shark. The man had gone probably with the intention of surfing but he was attacked by a shark when he was in the open ocean. Shark attacks are quite common in the United States. International Shark Attack File investigated 130 incidents of alleged shark-human interaction occurring worldwide in 2018 and reported 66 unprovoked and 34 provoked cases where shark attacked humans.
One of the deadliest marine creatures, sharks have magnificent power to detect their prey and have the sensitivity which can identify a drop of blood even if diluted in a swimming pool. Therefore, it becomes very dangerous when one is injured and goes to the Open Ocean. There is always a threat of attacks by sharks. This normalcy has given birth to the awakening of people regarding this life threat. The general population in the United States have also become quite aware of Sharks in attack-prone areas. They have been educated about what are the dos and don’ts when it is under the attack. However, the responsibility always rests on the shoulders of the individual concerned, who is doing the barter of risk for enjoyment. The fulfillment is his/her responsibility.
