Socialisation and a Little Secret

Can any of you actually think of being alone, for whole life? It will surely be a stupid question to ask to a social animal. We can obviously say that despite the conflicts and confusions, we are meant to be the part of society. Let’s have a closer look at it.

The creation of every being is similar. It’s the world which moulds it to what that person becomes. The centre of attraction of life is existence. If we consider ourselves as a sophisticated animal, we will be able to understand human behaviour. I feel that, as eagles use their claws, snakes use their venom and as sharks use their speed for their existence, similarly we humans have some special weapons for our survival. We may not have spikes around us or horns on our head, but nature has surely gifted us with the unique defense mechanism. Our emotional connection and socialisation amongst humans have made many marvels come true.

We can think of many elements when we talk of socialisation. But let us have a look at a factor which everybody has in itself, programmed by default. According to a psychologist at the Northeastern University, David DeSteno, it is our emotions which make us do generous deeds and establish trust and support in return of that. He says “Contrary to popular belief, our emotions aren’t there to distract us from making logical decisions”. He believes that usually, we spread our connections with others, on the basis of this reciprocity of emotions.

It becomes obvious that we have emotions as our guide for making any important decision in life. It brings not two or four but the whole human race together, when in need. I feel that we should be proud of ourselves, for this beautiful thing gifted to us, by nature. And if we observe ourselves, we will find that we have well decorated the emotions in our lives. We have created various kinds of relationships out of it. Also, we have learned to portray it in various forms like books, cinema etc. However, keep in mind that emotions are a weapon, we have to be always careful, while exploiting it.
