Utilisation of scientific knowledge helps to fulfil the basic requirements of mankind and upgrades the standard of living.

For instance, solar panels are like a ray of hope when the world is facing a resource crisis as it generates electricity and helps in minimisation of the use of generators which are operated through diesel (a scarce conventional resource). The economic growth of a country is also contingent on the success of engineers and their inventions. They take into consideration different scientific conditions while creating the capital intensive machinery which requires minimal manpower and gives high yields and exponents the widening of the economy.
