Judge: The hands of justice

A judge is one who is much unbiased in their decision making, one who can be trusted. To be a good judge, one has to cultivate and maintain five ethical principles – judicial aloofness and detachment, honesty and integrity, judicial independence, judicial temperament with humility, and impartiality.

However, how do you get one to like you more? This article might help you gain that plus one advantage to your game.

In an article by Northeastern University, a survey was conducted on judges who were judging the different segments during an event that drives their decision-making. Their answers are a little different than what you might expect.

  1. Most of them answered on how much they admire creativity and newness. This is the one point that adds those extra points.

  1. They appreciate good content and extensive research but not too much information in a small space.

  1. Something that is a commercial application, other times it is furthering a societal value is what appeals to them.

  1. The utility might be one thing that may help you make your project, model, or design more goal-oriented.

  1. The neatness of the project is also one point that is highly important and just cannot be ignored.

  1. The brilliant ideas that one might have a need to be distilled into something that can be communicated clearly.

All these responses are exclusively from professional judges and thus, they are very helpful for people looking for ways to improve their presentation and overall pleasantness of the project. However, even if your game is A+, you need to be on the judges’ good side, which is why knowing what to do in times like these is important.

This does not mean one can get a judge to favour them more than others; it just increases the probability of your success higher.
