Pharmacy is an extraordinary and significant field of medical science. It is the practice of uncovering, manufacturing, developing, supplying, and analysing drugs to check the safety, effectiveness, and affordability of drugs. The word ‘Pharmacy’ has been derived from the word ‘Pharma’ which means the know-how of production and administration of medicines. The people, who practice this profession (pharmacists), have expertise in the optimisation of usage of medicines for better health care purposes. This profession combines the health sciences with the chemical sciences and offers a very rewarding future in terms of money and reputation. There are many job opportunities for these people in hospitals, schools, nursing homes, pharmaceutical industries, etc. Students of Northeastern University learnt about the career options in the field of pharmacy.
